Press-On Nails
How long do your nails last?

Are your press-ons reusable?
Yes! Be sure to follow the instructions for proper application and removal on the back of your mounting card that comes in your order. Also see the question "How do you care for press-on nails?" below for instructions and tips to follow good nail care practices.

How do you apply press-on nails?
- Make sure your natural nails are not cracked or split. Also check that you do not have any cuts or wounds on your nail beds or the skin surrounding the area. If you have any of these conditions, do not apply press-ons. Wait until your nails and skin have healed completely before starting application.
- Wash your hands and let them dry fully. Do not apply lotion or cuticle oil.
- Push back cuticles with a cuticle pusher.
- Buff the surface of your natural nail with a nail file. Also buff the underside of the press on where it will attach to your natural nail.
- Wipe natural nail and press-on with an alcohol wipe to get rid of all debris and oil.
- Apply glue or sticky tabs to your nail bed starting just below the cuticle. Make sure the glue or tabs do not touch the very edge of the nail bed.
- Align the press on nails with your nail bed starting from just below the cuticle and gradually press down from the cuticle to the nail tip until they are laying flat.
- Press and hold 30 seconds for each nail until they are secure.
*Instructions will also be listed on the back of your mounting card for reference!
Tips:
- Sticky tabs can be applied by holding the clear sheet above the nail bed to check if the size is correct. Correct size tabs should fill as much of the nail bed as possible without touching the edges.
- Apply sticky tabs on all nails before taking off top clear plastic cover.
- Keep a small tube of nail glue or sheet of sticky tabs with you in case you need to re-apply.
How do you remove press-on nails?
- Fill a bowl with warm water and a few drops of dish soap.
- Apply oil to your cuticle area.
- Soak nails in soapy water for 10-15 minutes.
- Gently push the press on nails away from your nail bed starting at the cuticle area.
- Carefully remove the leftover glue from your nails and the press on nails with a file.
*Instructions will also be listed on the back of your mounting card for reference!
How do you care for press-on nails?
During Wear
- Try to avoid contact with moisture and oils (such as hand lotion or cuticle oil) as much as possible to ensure long term use.
- Avoid wearing press-ons while taking hot baths or washing dishes.
- Although our press-ons are very durable, we suggest to limit actions that could directly cause damage such as opening drink cans or opening packaging.
- Nails with charms and other 3D decorations need to be handled more delicately since they have elements that stick out from the nail.
- We are not liable for replacements for damage/wear from worn press-ons.
After Wear
- Remember to file away excess glue from prior usage and wipe with an alcohol wipe before storing.
- Do not attempt to cut or trim the press-ons since this will break the protective top layer and make the nails more susceptible to damage.
My matte nails are getting shiny...
Our nails are made using gel polish products which tend to absorb oils easily. Oil from your hands, lotion, or other sources may cause your matte top coat to become shiny. To remove this shine from the matte finish, wipe your press-ons with a bit of gentle dish soap and water or use a gel cleanser.
Will my set look exactly like the sample photo?
Every set is custom made by hand specifically for your order. We do our best to be faithful to the original design but because of the hand-decorated nature of the product, there may be minor differences.
Sizing
How do I measure my nails?
Click on the link here to go to our online sizing guide. Or you can purchase our sizing kit here to get a more accurate fit to your natural nails.
Notes:
- Please be careful to measure accurately as we do not refund orders due to customer measurement error.
- We suggest to size up if you are intending to wear your nails with sticky tabs instead of nail glue.
- If you have shorter nail beds, we suggest to pick a shorter length of nail as the press-ons may come off more easily or put more tension on the nail bed which can lead to damage. More simply put: The longer the fake nail + The shorter the nail bed = The risk of these problems may increase.
How does the sizing kit work?
After you purchase a sizing kit, we send you a set of 14 nails in the length and shape you requested. Try each size on your natural nail bed and record each number of nail size that fits each finger. The most accurate fit will be a press-on that the width of the nail comfortably fits across the widest part of your natural nail bed. After recording all your information, either take a picture of the sizing kit or type out your sizes for each finger along with the nail type listed and send it an email to info@sourberry.net. We will keep your custom sizes recorded in your account on our website for your next purchase.
Tips:
- The right fit of a press-on nail will sit comfortably on the nail bed with little pressure. The wrong nail size will be a press-on that doesn't cover your whole nail bed or only fits when you need to press down hard.
- Each sizing kit will differ slightly based on length and shape, so we suggest ordering a sizing kit for each set that has a different shape or size so you can be sure your press-ons will fit perfectly.
Do you keep my sizing information?
Yes! If you ordered a sizing kit from us, we keep that info in your online account so you can reference it for your next nail set purchase.

Other
Are your products vegan and cruelty free?
Yes! All of our products are made with vegan and cruelty-free materials.
Can I wear your press ons if I am allergic to gel polish?
1. All the polishes we use are hema monomer free which can help minimize the risk of developing a gel polish allergy.
2. Even though the risk of allergic reaction is lower with press-ons than applying gel polish directly on natural nails, we advise those with a known allergy to gel polish not to purchase our products.
3. Only apply nail glue on the nail bed, not on skin. Please wash off any glue that comes in contact with your skin using soap and water.
4. We are not liable for allergic reactions that may occur from improper use.
Is your packaging eco-friendly?
Through much research and consideration, we are happy to say that all parts of our packaging excluding the shipping label and mounting tape are now eco-friendly! And we are currently working on finding an eco-friendly shipping label substitute.
1. Our backing cards are printed on paper made from 100% post-consumer recycled material and can be recycled after use. Just remove the mounting tape beforehand.
2. Our plastic bags are made from 100% pre-consumer recycled material. You can reuse them as you like, or recycle them in a thin film plastic drop-off bin. (Click here to learn more)
